BOOKS ON SALE

The following books by the author of The Ploughman are available in hard copy via the proper contacts:

1. The Ploughman's Talk (in the furrows of the hidden wisdom).
This book deals with necessary desiderata about child rearing, the negative effects of drinking, smoking, and other undesirable vices, as well as the ways through which those vices can be overcome by those who want to overcome them.

2. Democracy (what it is not, what it is)
This is a book that deals with the concept of democracy. The book explains the origin and ideal democracy, as it was originated from Greece. On the other hand it views how poor the concept is being practised in many countries.

3. Ozuzuoke N'ime Chineke.
Nke a bu akwukwo na-akowa maka ndu mmadu, ma o kacha ka ndu mmadu sikwesi ibu ihe zuruoke etu nke Dinwenu anyi Jesu si were zuo oke. Ya mere na di ka Jesu si kwu okwu n'akwukwo nke Matt. 5:48, onye obula ga-ezuriri oke di ka Nna anyi bi n'eluigwe si zu oke.

4. Ndi Amuma Ugha na Ndi Ashawo Uka
Nke a bu akwukwo na-akowa maka amuma ugha, na ezi amuma. N'ime akwukwo a, e deputakwara ihe kpatara e ji ebu amuma ugha na ihe ndi kpatara ndi mmadu ji ejekwuru ndi amuma ugha; ma nke ka nke bu na o lebara anya etu amuma na-adibu na etu o kwesiri idi.

5. The Igbos are still in Political Univeraity (UNIPOL)
This is a wonderful book that deals with the Igbo people and their attitude of agreeing to disagree, or rather disagreeing to agree. it is interesting to note that the discoveries in that book, if made serious matter, and if the people concerned are serious with changing their attitudes, will definitely change their fate and consequently their life.

6. Our Confused Christians
This book deals with the lukewarm attitudes of people towards their faith. This attitude is not that of making enough matter of concern for their God, but that of wavering faith in their God. The book reveals that many so-called pastors take opportunity of the ignorance of the people of God to play on the people's psychology to gain their material interests.

7. Uwa Onye na Chi Ya
Akwukwo a bu akwukwo abu Igbo. O kowara n'udi abu, otutu ihe na-enye ndi igbo na omenala ha nsogbu. Akwukwo a nke so na ihe umuakwukwo na-agu na uloakwukwo ugbu a bu ihe e dere n'uzo o ga-ekwe nghota.

9. Angels, Useen Reality.
This is the doctrinal book that deals on angels. The book deals on the ways those unseen reality relate to us. The researches that led to the writing of this book revealed many hidden knowledge about this concept called angels and some other related unseen realities which are very many, though we do not know.

10. The Ploughman's Talk 2 (More wisdom from the furrows)
This book which is the continuation of the volume one digs deeper into various aspects of realities of life and things that will make a person a balanced being starting from birth to death. This particular volume is a very mighty book of advice and pieces of wisdom. As some one remarked after reading it, 'Here is a powerful book which positive than the power of positive thinking'.

Just for a better society

Dear Reader,

Most of us owe our successes in life on the legacy others left us. Others too, on the quotations, references, influences and in fact experiences and advices from other people who meant well for us. Therefore, to guide our teaming youth, indeed our semiliterate society live more fulfilled life, write me on one or on the following two:

a) An experience, inspiration, or piece of advice from another person that has helped you in life, stating how, when, (and if possible where), it took place, as well as how it has helped you.

b) A regrettable experience that seems to have done some harm to you, but with the help of which you have changed for better.

Eg: when Rev. Fr. Dr. Nnoruka was teaching us Modern Philosophy, He quoted Henry Begerson as saying, ”to be alive is to be active.”

In explanation, he said the philosopher meant that it is the person who performs and contributes positively for a better society can be said to be really alive. I there and then decided and began to work to be one of such people.

Note:

i) If you wish, indicate the extent you would like your identity to be confidential.

ii) What you write will just be compiled in a book form along with those of others. No corrections or changes will be effected, because of that, try to make it very short, at most one page.

iii) The expected last date for this requirement is December, 2009.

iv) Because of your signature,(and perhaps you would like your contribution to appear in your own hand writing), scan the information into the E-mail:richploughman@yahoo.com or write to box 62, Amawbia, Awka South L.G. A. Anambra State, Nigeria.

The Ploughman's Talk 2, is a classic book of practical wisdom. That is, tracts of wisdom. The book which is due to come up for public consumption by December 2008, sums up everything that has to be said in the fields of child rearing, the youth, drinking of wines and strong drinks, education, death, laziness, anger, stubborness, lateness, greed, highhandedness, and lots more, as well as other desiderata without which a balanced personality can hardly be formed.

Further, this book is the author's attempt to awaken the consciousness of the present generation to the importance of wisdom and the application of the dictates of wisdom to day to day living.

WEDDING: Complete Checklist

Do you plan to have a hitch free wedding celebration and to avoid wedding day mishap associated with most wedding ceremony in Nigeria or are you trying hard thinking on how to start off your wedding plans? Then this article is a must read for you.Few months remaining with which a given spinster is elevated to a married woman and a bachelor into a married man usually seem like an eternity. Nearly every individual who stand staring in the mirror as a result of the forthcoming wedding, counting down the hours eventually comes to the realization that they will soon be elevated or be transformed into the glorified position known as the bride or groom. This glorified and most desired position has been sought after by millions and envied by some. On this most sacred and memorable day, it is quite possible to have the misfortune or mishap due to unforeseen occurrences and possibly by sabotage, be it self-inflicted or at the hands of others you trusted most. This is the reason why it is very important to know who you are, know the person you have selected and entrusted with a given role and more important to hire a certified wedding planer who will be present to find a solution to any possible mishap. Often time mishap can be nipped in the bud prior to your weeding day.Let’s start with the prospective bride and her attendants or friends going gown shopping which should be done between 10-8 months before the wedding day. Sadly there will be time when one or more of these attendants will soon forget that the prospective wedding day is not about them and will go on a guest to put on the bride to give them the authority to select a dress that they prefer to wear. Not showing up for fittings and alterations when scheduled opens up the door to wedding day mishap. The final fitting should take place at least one week prior to the event. If someone has tendency to fluctuate in weight, the dress will have been altered to compensate such change. Whether it is male or female, everyone involved should try on his or her apparel prior to leaving the shopping arena.Having said much, I believe that the step-by-step points which detailed twelve months before your wedding will go a long way to help you celebrate a problem free wedding. The most common question from the newly engaged is “where do we start” Below information provide a detailed planning toward a blissful wedding. For every couple planning to have a successful and hitch free weeding, they are expected to start their wedding plan within a period of 12 months or more. However, if you’ve got less times than the assumed 12+ months, don’t worry! Wedding have been planned within a period of three, four or five months time interval. Start at the beginning of the checklist and do what you can, moving at a good pase until you catch up. If you have been planning for a while, go back and make sure you haven’t miss out anything in the checklist.
